Arrrgh. Soon the cyclical summer doldrums to my regular income (ads) will hit and I’ll have to depend on selling domain names much more. That is becoming increasingly difficult, in most areas. Some new arenas have opened up, and I’m working to take advantage of those, but it means revamping websites.

Sometimes it seems like I have a cave full of gold nuggets — but each nugget is encased in a stone boulder, just a bit of gold showing its presence. And the donkeys I tried to harness to carry the boulders up to the surface keep running away to eat carrots somewhere. Without a donkey army, I struggle to carry each nugget out of the cave one by one.

When I get them to market, the buyer needs tools to chop the nugget free of the boulder. This thins out prospective buyers.

So it’s a definite lack of donkeys here slowing me down. (I guess it’s actually a question of mules, not donkeys.) But the market itself is spectacular to look at.

Hope the summer doldrums are not as bad as your anticipation of them. We all need a touch of prosperity.

Things have worried me so much that I actually love paying bills now. It's funny, though. The most satisfying time in my life was when I was the poorest, and even having enough food was iffy. But it was under my control, I could work extra shifts to make more.

Haven't got the slightest idea what you are talking about with selling domain ads but then technology and I have never been friends!! LOL

Saw the title, immediately saw Ronald Reagan as the host of the Death Valley Days TV show brought to us by 20 Mule Team Borax. Looks like he was host from 1964 to 1965, and that must be the only time range I saw that show because I don't remember the other hosts. Hot and dry in Death Valley.

I faintly remember seeing the show but don't remember Reagan -- really just an impression of the music and credits and all those mules.
