Here is a bit of information on this.
My Christmas present to myself.

Let known this a hard to pronounce.
Wednesday,I am having surgery on my hand.
This is a hard lump forming on my palm.
Inability to place your palm flat on the surface
Scarlike bands forming across your palm.
Fingers bent toward your palm.

Who get this?
People whose families come from northern European countries are most likely to get this.
I had this for some time and the finger is bending more and time to have it done.
Will be going Wed.morning.
Monday is blood work and EKG to be sure about this type of surgery.
I will not be able to do any tennis playing.Boo Hoo.
Need to rest at least a couple or more weeks.
Depending on the healing process.
So will be spending some time resting at home.
Then will have some type of therapy after.
Hopefully that this will start the new year right.

Glad the surgery on your hand went well and that you're healing quickly. Hopefully your other Christmas gifts to yourself won't require surgery...

I am having some hand problems - arthritis related, but work them out for the most part without intervention. I take pine bark extract pills and most of my arthritic problems are gone. Good luck with your surgery. Keep us informed.

I had the surgery done Wed.morning
It is healing very nicely and will get the stitches out in a week or so and idle for two weeks before playing tennis.Going stir crazy staying home at times and t his is not me.
At least I am driving. No need for pain pills and will not take them if I do.But no pain which is good and surprised.Must be tough.thanks for the information on the bark.I do have have arthritis on that finger.Which is good.I am able to bend, spread apart and touch my thumb.I will be glad when this is finished.

Ugh. An uncle had it bad, and my sister is getting there. For me, it's just arthritis of the thumb. Best wishes for a successful surgery and recovery.

Ted had this surgery several years ago. It was a lousy Christmas gift to
give yourself. It isn't on my want list.
