Good Sunday Morn, Greasytown:

   Well at last, at last, I have some wheels. I tell you, I am happier than a pig in shit. Niece Jethrene bought a new mini van so she gave me her old p.o.s.  Gave is actually a misnomer. I have to give her money....a few bucks here and there as I can spare it and perform baby sitting chores.  Which is ok by me.  The dealer wouldn't give her squat for a trade in so she let me have it.  It runs and, according to Jethrene's daddy's(my brother Bubba) mechanic, its sound of wind and limb.  It has certain cosmetic issues is all. For one thing the back window on the driver's side is held in place with duct tape.  For another, the door lock on the driver's side in not fuctioning because someone tried to break into it with a popsicle stick (yes, a popsicle stick...I am not making that up) and the end of the stick broke off in the lock rendering it useless.  For yet another thing, one of the back seat belts doesn't work because somebody shoved gummi bears into the slot.  Jethrene blames one of the children but I know it was really her.   And I don't even want to think about how filthy the interior of that car is. Sheesh. I feel like I need to wear a haz-mat suit every time I drive it.  I 'aspose, though, that's what happens when you haul two little monst....I mean precious snowflakes like Jethro and Daizy May around all the time.  On the next warmish day I'll run it by the car wash and vacumn it within an inch of its life, then use Lysol spray, bug bomb, and Febreeze to get it reasonably sanitary.  Might not hurt matters to hang up a half dozen or so of those pine tree air fresheners to be on the safe side.  But all in all, its a good deal for me and solves a lot of problems, transport -wise.  Now my only concern is how to pay for the insurance each month.  Ah well, with a little economising I should be able to handle it....I hope.
