Golden Customer Service


I have finally found a company that gives better customer service than Knit Picks, who will send you free replacement needles if your dog chews them up or you sit on them and break them in half. On Monday I ordered 250 paper bags for my Craft Market customers' purchases, from Uline. They were delivered today and my number oriented hubby set about counting each and every bag...twice and came up with only 248. After I checked his figures and got the same result, I e-mailed Uline this evening with this:

Hi,
I just received my order of 250 bags today. Two different people have counted them three times and each time we counted only 248 bags. I realize it's not a lot but I run a small business and can't afford to ignore minor discrepancies such as this. Please let me know if you will be sending me two more bags or if I will receive a refund for them instead.

Within minutes the phone rang and it was a Uline representative calling to ask if I would prefer the two bags or the refund. They will be mailing out my two bags tomorrow. How's THAT for service!

Reminds me of my dear late friend, Bella, who took the electric company in New York to task for a 34 cent discrepancy. She said it was the principle.
