Kenna works in a small-very small-town about fifteen miles east of Clinton for an eccentric multi-millionaire who runs a huge conglomerate of businesses from his "corporate" headquarters there, his home town.
Yesterday, just after she left work, heading south toward the Interstate, she went past a man and a woman standing beside a pick-up on the side of the road. They appeared to be arguing and the man appeared to be holding the woman's head down inside the vehicle. Kenna thought it was strange and continued to watch in her rearview mirror. Suddenly, she saw the man shove the woman out onto the highway, jump in his pick-up and gun it onto the road. When Kenna next looked, the woman had disappeared. Suspecting he might have run over her, Kenna turned around and returned. She saw the woman lying in the road covered in blood. To his credit, the man did stop. Neighbors, hearing the commotion, had gathered but someone had already called 911. She said the ambulance was there in less than five minutes. Several other witnesses verified Kenna's story that they had been fighting and that the man had hit the woman several times as they were followed, driving down Main Street.
Kenna waited to give her statement to the police; she said the woman was conscious but disoriented. She later heard that her injuries were so serious that she was flown to Oklahoma City by Medi-Vac. Kenna said she couldn't tell if the man deliberately hit the woman or whether he was so angry he pulled out suddenly and accidentally ran over her. At any rate, he was arrested at the scene. Remind me never to take a ride with that guy.
Hoping this poor victim is recovering and Kenna is doing better. Any updates on the jerk perp and the victim's condition?
The Arabs have one good thing going for their laws. Remove the hand that struck her.

And if she recovers, will this poor woman go back to him because he "is so sorry?"
I hope the man was arrested. Domestic violence is scary as is any kind of violence. I hope the woman was sent from the hospital to a shelter.
And there are more people in the world to get violent!
a lot of this stuff is going around.I am glad that not in this generation. It will never end.Must be all the bad food out there with the pink slime in meat etc. I still believed a lot of this is causing health issues,domestic etc. Do not eat the burgers my friend.Go organic in you need do. OH!this is another subject.Oh!what do I know. This stuff goes on and on and on an on.No one is never happy.
We see violence all the time in movies and on TV, but seeing it in person is very unsettling.
