Small Conversation

I don't have much to say. Perhaps a little news.

I took my sister to have a CAT scan regarding her breast cancer. She's in good spirits about it all--at least outwardly.

On impulse, I went truck "window shopping" two days ago. One dealer tried to sell me a larger version of my Dodge Dakota. I went there out of loyalty. Plus I had a $500 "coupon" if I bought a vehicle from them again.
I liked the Toyota Tacoma. More my size. We'll see. My Dakota is 8 years old, and still runs fine (86k).

Feeling better after I wrote my letter of despair to my daughter regarding my ex and her "busybodyness". I think I'm going to have to "buck up" and accept the fact I can't get rid of her. At least that's what Emily says. Her mother is a big help, babysitting and all. Like I said, at least I got it off my chest.

I offered the use of my house for Christmas dinner (with ex excluded?). No feed back yet from family members.

Dreary weather. Arthritis is in 4th gear. Painful (hands).
My fridge is stacked with leftovers. I've been in a cooking mood--casseroles, soups, breads, etc. I'm taking some over to my father tomorrow.
Have a good one.

I am glad you feel better getting that off your chest, it would certainly suck to be in your shoes in that department. Is the Takoma more like a Trucklet?

I like that term--trucklet! And yes, it is. For me, just the right size.

Wow! I can't imagine offering use of my house for anything involving relatives (or anybody else for that matter)!

Quite the opposite, and I like to keep it this way.

why not? Ashamed? You know my house is quite large--like with 6 bedrooms!

Keep those hands moving.

I try. I've doubled my glucosamine dosage, but I've heard that doesn't help arthritis. I believe it!

Sending good thoughts to your sister. If you have the family Christmas, will ex bring current husband?
comment by boots586 on Dec 9, 2012 10:07 AM ()
See my response to Maggie. You're invited, however!

I like the Tacoma. It was on my short list when I ended up getting my Honda Ridgeline, an '06, which I still have. It is a great vehicle.

Get the red one! Be bold!

It comes with a built in truck liner, which I like for my wood hauling. Am I too old for wanting a red truck? I've never owned a red vehicle!

You can bring some of those leftovers to my house too! It's great that you garden and cook, and share with your dad. Hope you ex makes other plans for Christmas.

The main reason I'm willing to host dinner is that my ex is not invited! That and it's my turn--I also have a big house.
