  Coming Back.

It's going to be a long day in work today. I'm on my own and it's very cold. What's more there are no customers about. I suppose it gives me a chance to come around after my bad mood yesterday.

I have wanted to come back to blogging for a good while now, but face book seems to have taken over my computing life. That is why I have deactivated my account. I really like the "blogster" site, but it seems to be full of posts that are way above my head, or of quarrells between one blogger and another. I want the "old" blogging experience that we had before the switch over. I want to know what yo're up too, What you've done, where you're going. Is greasy the place to get this?

Hi Tracy. Please do come back to Greasy. I've missed your posts.

So nice to see you, Tracy! I think facebook is popular and addicting because it's simple one-liners, just post something quick, a list of short comments, and "sideline" pages and apps to enjoy, if desired. There's a lot less applied thinking involved, so it's simple and quick. But, blogging (which is the same as journaling) is good for a person, too. Yes, there's thinking involved, getting the thoughts in order, having posts make sense, taking time to read other posts and commenting. Blogging covers a whole array of subjects and bloggers come with an array of interests and writing abilities, so it's likely that some will be fun and simple reads while others will be serious and more complicated. You can be selective by using tags/subjects as a guide to what you choose to read, or you can check out posts written by friends who often write about things you enjoy, but, please, don't leave Blogster all together. You add a freshness to the site, many enjoy reading your posts, and we like knowing that you are visiting us from time to time, too. Yes, a lot of the "feel" has changed there...serious subjects and concerns, opinions and arguments do exist, and they will be covered there...but, there is an effort by many to not only include those types of posts, but also some interesting facts and information about science, history, literature, the arts, etc., as well as some personal daily accounts, recipes, jokes, and things that are lighthearted and fun. I think that's what blogging really should be...variety...with readers and writers free to select what they want to write about and what they wish to read. With the holidays coming to an end and quieter times for many, there may be an increase in the frequency of writing, reading, and commenting from those who use Blogster, so it may begin to feel a lot more like normal again. But, we need people like you to be there if it ever is going to be like it used to be. How can that be accomplished if you and others from then are not even there? As far as greasy goes, this is a great blogging site. Many of the posts are less complicated and there seems to be less hostility between users here, so a lot of bloggers find that greasy is more comfortable and enjoyable. So, I encourage you to be a regular here at greasy, too. Hey, even if you only visit one site once a week and the other site once or twice a week, it will be great to have you participating and being a part of the blogging family of friends again. SMILE]

Yes, it is. We have no political screwballs over here, either. Just friends. Gald to see you, Tracy!
